Clark County Man Pleads Not Guilty In Deadly Crash

Friday, August 25th, 2017 -- 10:29 AM

A Clark County man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges related to a crash that left his passenger dead and that police said happened after he swerved at several Amish buggies.

Back in March, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a one vehicle accident on Starr Road in the Township of Lynn. The vehicle, driven by Steven Faber, began to spin and rolled over several times after entering the ditch when Faber lost control of the vehicle. Both Faber and his passenger, 35-year-old Andy Mallory, were ejected from the vehicle. Mallory was pronounced dead at the scene and Faber was flown to the hospital.

Speed and alcohol were factors in the accident. According to court documents, witnesses said that Faber had been harassing several Amish buggies before the accident occurred. Faber has been charged with two counts of homicide and recklessly endangering safety. During his preliminary hearing on Thursday, probable cause was found so his court proceeding will continue. He also entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him.
