Man Involved in Abbotsford Shooting Sentenced in Clark County Court

A man who was shot while fleeing police was sentenced in Clark County Court on Wednesday.
The officer-involved shooting took place back in May of 2019 at a residential motel north of Highway 29, on Highway 13 in the Abbotsford area. Officers were called to investigate Dan Willison, who fled the scene in his vehicle upon contact and hit an officer.
An officer of the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department then fired his service weapon, striking the subject, who continued to flee. After a pursuit by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, and Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, Willison fled on foot and was apprehended.
After life-saving measures, the subject was transported to a hospital for treatment. During his court appearance on Wednesday he pleaded guilty to bail jumping and battery.
Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison followed by 2 years of extended supervision.
