Clark County Board of Supervisors Began Meeting with Public Hearing

The Clark County Board of Supervisors began their meeting on Thursday with a public hearing.The hearing was in regards to Clark County’s Farmland Preservation Plan. The purpose of the hearing was to receive comments regarding the draft update to the plan, which will guide farmland preservation in the county over the next 20 years. No action was taken on the item. The board approved several appointments including Steve Amacher to replace Mark Renderman as supervisor for District 5, Tom Wilcox as the Forestry and Parks Committee Chair, Jerome Krempasky as Board of Health Chair and filling several committee seats vacated by Mark Renderman.
The board also heard several reports including from Indianhead Community Action, Ryan Neville at Memorial Medical Center’s new facility, the 2016 Annual Highway Report and Clint Langreck about the recent IT issues. The board also approved a resolution supporting the creation of a second circuit court branch in the county as Clark County ranks 5th in the state for counties that need an additional judge. Finally, they approved an increase in days of service for board members pursuant to Wisconsin statute.
