Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Greenwood’s new principal reported on his first month on the job meeting staff members, the new math program implementation progress and Elementary School priorities for the coming year. District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on some political items regarding schools. State budget deliberations continue. The senate version of the state budget has a few provisions that would not be helpful for rural schools. One involved referendum and limits on general aid. Mr. Felhofer sent an email to Sen. Moulton’s office expressing concern with this provision. He also provided a draft of District Strategic Priorities to the board.
The Mission Statement and Core Values signs are up at the high school and ones at the elementary will be up before school starts, the final version of Volunteer/Chaperone Handbook was provided to the board and the beginning of the year district in-service schedule and mentoring and coaching schedule was also provided to the Board. Finally, he mentioned the annual audit was completed last week and summer maintenance and cleaning is finishing up.
