Greenwood School Board Prepares for Next School Year

-The Greenwood School board discussed the next school year’s budget at their meeting on Monday.The board received an update on the 2017-2018 budget development, approved the purchase of a new milk cooler, approved the 2017-18 Ala Carte Food Service prices, approved the 2017-18 contract with Clark County Adult Development Services to provide dishwashing and vacuuming services at the Elementary School and they tabled the discussion regarding the possible addition of Cyberattack insurance. The board also received an update on the status of summer maintenance, repair, and replacement projects.
The board also received an update on the monument school sign and the electronic message center. The south-side of the electronic sign is not working and the monument sign has some damaged letters and some discoloration. Finally, the board approved the 2017-18 Elementary Student Handbook, approved the District’s Academic and Career Planning/PI 26 plan and it was reported to the board that no incidents of seclusion or restraint were used during the 2016-17 school year.
