Granton Village Board Discusses Several Projects
Friday, August 11th, 2017 -- 7:25 AM
-The Granton Village Board began their meeting on Wednesday with an MSA update.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the village questioned the bill MSA sent outlining prep charges for the TID meeting. The last communication from MSA stated an individual was on vacation so they could not communicate charges. That was over a week ago. The village has not received a bill for the actual meeting. Also, C & R Concrete started the prep work to replace the sidewalk on the north side of 2nd Street between Maple and K. Weather permitting the concrete should go in the end of the week. The culvert was replaced on 2nd street. There is a 50% match from the county with a September 7th deadline.
The board is hopeful to get the concrete poured before fall weather in regards to the park project. The village received a $1000 donation for the covered picnic table project. The village now has $1550 earmarked for this project. The ATV ordinance was approved and the village is looking to stain their dock before Fall Fest.
