Thursday, May 27th, 2021 -- 10:00 AM
Thorp High School's Advanced Foods students were assigned to enter the "Beef Chopped Challenge" sponsored by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, ProStart, and Culver's.
Five groups each created their own recipe, prepared it in class, and practiced their food photography skills while Mrs. Noah submitted the entries. Recipe names entered included Aloha Burger, Sweet and Savory Steak Kabobs, Spice Oholic, Meatloaf, and Cheeseburger Stuffed Meatballs, which was the 2nd Place Winner.
Congratulations to Morgan & Ivan for being the 2nd Place Winner in the Beef Chopped Challenge as a part of the ProStart Skills Challenge. An email from Alex Vernon, WI Restaurant Association ProStart Coordinator, stated that the judges were very impressed by their recipe & plate design. Morgan and Ivan won a $25 gift card from Culver's for their second-place prize.
