Treasurer of Stanley Rod and Gun Club Facing Theft Charges

-A former treasurer to a rod and gun club is facing charges after taking over $45,000.According to the Stanley Police Department, Paula Brown took the money from the Stanley Rod and Gun Club without authorization. Over 60 unauthorized checks and two bank withdrawals were taken from the club’s account.
Officials say Brown has already paid back almost half of that money. Charges are being referred to the Chippewa County D.A.’s Office.
