Owen-Withee School Board Hears Updates on Facilities Projects

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard an update on the facilities projects at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Bob Houts shared with the board the progress that has been made on the Act 32, Energy Exemption projects, and the Act 10, regular budget, projects. Several of the projects have been completed including driveway/parking lot repairs, exterior lighting, boiler replacement, door replacement, elementary flooring and the gym pulley system. Others are all still in progress including the roof, digital heating controls and pumps, fire alarm system upgrade, elementary shower repairs, high school tile glazing, painting and locker room repairs. All work is scheduled to be completed by mid-August.
The board also approved renewing its membership in the WASB for the 2017-18 school year, completed a second reading of the Wellness policy changes and completed a second reading of the School Meal Fee Collection policy. This makes both policies official.
