A Hixton teen charged with animal cruelty appeared in Jackson County Court on Tuesday.
According to court records, Cody Hagen-Anderson and Nicholas Kulig, from Blair, were arrested after a Snapchat video showed the two torturing a opossum. The teens picked up the animal and threw it by its tail, pouring beer down its throat, and blowing vape smoke in its face. One of the teens eventually decapitated the animal.
Hagen-Anderson appeared in Jackson County Court for a preliminary hearing. Probable cause was found so his court proceedings will continue. He entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on June 16th.
