Granton village Board Report July 2017

The Granton Village Board discussed cigarette licensing at their meeting on Wednesday.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the State of Wisconsin raised the allowable cost for a cigarette license to a maximum cost of $100 to help ensure compliance with tobacco products laws. The board agreed to keep the tobacco license to $5.00.
The board also heard the Water Report. The Village received the analytical report from Northern Lakes outlining the condition of their drinking water. The results will be posted for the public. The board also heard the Waste Water Report.
It was also reported that the cat issue has been addressed, 13 picnic tables were built for the new campground, extra gravel was placed around the concession area, the compressor on the walk in cooler at the park has to be replaced for $1,730.07, a cherry tree fell in the cemetery, the stump was removed and the area re-seeded, shed 3 was cleaned, ball field was maintained as needed, scrap metal was recycled and the village purchased a new weed whip and a tire changer.
