Neillsville City Police Officers June 2017 Report

Saturday, July 15th, 2017 -- 8:35 AM

The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday.

For the month of June, the department had 145 complaints, 50 service calls, 45 traffic citations, 56 traffic warnings, 5 crash investigations, 11 ordinance citations, 14 adult arrests, 2 cases referred to the District Attorney’s office, 6 juvenile cases, 16 Transitions cases and 56 parking citations. Some other items of note include completed training, the department’s new parking enforcement officer, a death investigation, a stolen iPad, recertification and more.

The department also dealt with its fair share of cases regarding the Transition Home. However, as June 20th, the home emailed Neillsville’s Police Chief and said they are doing an aggressive “start over” at the facility and they currently have no residents at the home. The staff has met with the chief and he is cautiously optimistic that they’ll be able to do better when they reopen.
