Employment Matters and More at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board discussed more employment matters at their meeting on Monday.

The board approved several items for the next school year as presented including Support Staff Handbook updates, Supervisory and Confidential Staff Handbook updates, certified staff wages, Certified Staff Handbook updates, the administrative contract for Tim Rueth, the administrative contract for Craig Anderson and the administrative contract for John Gaier. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Tim Rueth reported on summer school and the summer meals program. District Administrator John Gaier reported on behalf of Craig Anderson on middle school activities, high school activities, scheduling, handbook updates and an open staff position.

Finally, Mr. Gaier reported on an article regarding Governor Walker’s education budget, two documents on school funding, two press releases outlining school funding proposals, a summary of President Trump’s proposed education budget and information about Medicaid funding for schools. He also reported on a summary of the latest Seventh Circuit Court’s decision on transgender students, information regarding meth labs in Wisconsin and three Focus articles.
