Arrests made in Connection with Search Warrant in Rural Granton

-On Wednesday June 28, 2017, at about 8:38am, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at W3289 Timberlane Road in the Township of York. The search warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Upon searching the residence, an operating methamphetamine lab was discovered in the basement. The state Division of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene with the Granton Area Fire Department, a clean-up team from Chicago later that evening and the Clark County Humane Society.

Two Children, ages 8 and 11, were removed by Clark County Social Services and taken to the hospital to make sure they were OK. A third child was not present when the search was conducted. Four dogs and two cats were also removed from the residence by the Clark County Humane Society.

Two adults were arrested as a result of the investigation. Elizabeth M. Tuggle 37 yrs. old and her husband, Jonathan P. Tuggle 33 yrs old, were both referred to the District Attorney’s Office for Possession and Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Knowingly Possess Methamphetamine Waste, Maintaining a Drug House, Criminal Trespass to Dwelling, Burglary of a Building or Dwelling, 3 counts of Child Neglect, 3 counts of Recklessly Endangering Safety and Animal Neglect.

Elizabeth and Jonathan are currently in the Clark County Jail awaiting their initial appearance in court.
