Clark County UW-Extension and Revolution Plastics Providing Ag Plastic Recycling Dumpsters to Clark County Farmers, Part 3

Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 -- 11:30 AM

-The Clark County UW-Extension Office and Revolution Plastics are excited to bring an ag plastics recycling event to Clark County.

Revolution Plastics will be distributing dumpsters in Clark County on Tuesday, July 18th for on-farm agricultural plastics recycling. I spoke with Clark County’s CNRED Agent Melissa Kono, who was instrumental in bringing this to the county, and she explained the program in more detail.

"Registration is required for this event. The registration is actually very, very brief. And people can register on the Revolution Plastics website, which is revolutionplastics.com or by calling the Extension Office here at 715-743-5121. They can also call Revolution Plastics at 844-490-7873. To register or with questions about registering, we're happy to help anyone with the registration process. Maybe if somebody doesn't have access to technology or isn't really good with technology, we can also help register people here. On the event date, July 18th, the company will have equipment available to load dumpsters onto a trailer to be taken to the farm. And then collections will happen on the farm. So, it's just a one time event where a farmer would collect a dumpster and bring it home and then it would be there to use forever."

Coming up on Thursday, we’ll hear more about the program.
