Neillsville City Council Approves Several Items

-The Neillsville City Council approved several items at their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved putting a putting an employee on probation for not passing a Wastewater and Water Operator test to get licensed. They also approved Michelle Grap as the new Assistant Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Neillsville. A Loan application for $17,805 was also approved. The applicant will use the funds for removal of a door, electrical work, window replacement, basement steps handrail, ground breaker and living room adjustments. There are some lead paint issues involved as well.
The board also approved the resignation of Library Board Member Tracey Steffen. They heard several committee reports as well. They heard the Historic Preservation Commission report from June 22nd. The commission reviewed the 2016 Christmas Tour of Homes, discussed a fall event and the 2017 calendars were discussed.
