Alaska Man Drowns in Black River Falls

An Alaska man has died in Black River Falls.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, they received a report of a man that tried to swim across a pond.  He went under and and had not emerged.  Officials found the man after an hour of searching.

Life saving measures were attempted, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.  The man was not identified, but the department stated he was a 38-year-old man from Alaska.
