Constable's Report at Granton Village Board Meeting

-The Granton Village Board heard the Constable’s Report at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board reviewed the Constable Report outlining the month’s activities. Also presented was the report outlining the tickets collected for the quarter. A board member advised that residents are complaining about number of cats in the village. It was reported that there are residents housing large numbers of cats. Ordinance 181 restricts residents to 2 cats. The board requested the constable enforce this ordinance and give said residents 30 days to find homes for their cats.
The board also heard the Treasurer’s Report. The beginning balance in checking was $66,691.13 and the ending balance $140,134.01. This includes a transfer of $100,000 from the Money Market Account as well as $1,332.78 awarded for the recycling grant. Beginning balance in the money market account was $441,744.02 and ending balance after the transfer of 100,000 is $341,984.33. Expenses and Revenues for the month of April and May were reviewed and approved.
