Employment Matters at Owen-Withee School Board

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting last week.The board approved the hiring of Monica Englebretson as part of the food service staff and Mabel Harms as part of the food service staff, who’s replacing Susan Kalepp who has resigned. The board also approved the hiring of Anna Goerlitz as an assistant volley ball coach and Peter Kaz as an assistant football coach for the 2017 season. The board approved the resignation of Ann Harlander-Fitzl from the assistant track coaching position. The board thanked her for her service to the track program. They also accepted the resignation of Jodi Rahn from the Jr. High volleyball coaching position. The board thanked Ms. Rahn for her 15 years of service to the volleyball program.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor reported on the end of the year activities including the May/June Student Recognition Day and the End-of-the-Year Award Assembly. He reported on the start of Summer school, 170 students participating in the 3 week session and he presented the Achievement Gap Reduction report for the 2016-17 school year.
