Granton Village Board Reviews Compliance Maintenance Report

-The Granton Village Board reviewed the Compliance Maintenance Report at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, after reviewing the report, the board approved to maintain effluent requirements contained in the WPDES Permit. Also, the VillageofGranton.com is the Village’s official website. The clerk has been working on a few pages and as time permits will update. The cost for the security site and naming rights is $220.00. The police/waterworks truck is in need of a new rear end. It currently has 85,000 miles. Costs were presented for a rebuilt rear end for $975 and the board approved the repair.
Finally, the village has had 7 trees cut down this spring that were rotting and posing a possible threat in adverse weather. The board discussed the possible removal of the remaining stumps and the estimated costs of $1.50 per inch for stump grinding. The board will look at the possibility of budgeting for this item in the 2018 budget.
