Granton Village Board Hears Park Update

-The Granton Village Board heard an update on the park at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the doors on the Crow’s Nest have been replaced and the double door was changed to a single door. The village is looking to replace the door into the announcer box but it is a very small door. The Crow’s nest will be painted this summer. The covered grill project is coming along. The village hauled in sand to set the concrete and then seeded the area around the project.
The project is scheduled for completion before the Park Picnic on June 25th. The village prepped the ball field for all High School baseball games, Little League games, Co-ed and Men’s Leagues. The walkway from the school to the park was filled in with gravel. Gravel is needed by the concession stand and will be added this week. Water is off at the roadside restrooms. Repairs will be completed this week.
