Two People Arrested After High Speed Chase in Jackson County

-Two people from Wisconsin Dells were arrested after a high speed chase in Jackson County.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, around 2:40am on Sunday a deputy tried to pull a vehicle over on N. 5th Street in Black River Falls for a minor traffic violation. However, when he activated his lights, the vehicle sped away. The pursuit continued onto I-94 and reached speeds of 110 mph. The driver lost control of the vehicle and a crash occurred. Both occupants jumped out of the vehicle and a foot pursuit began. They were apprehended a short while later.
26-year-old Dakota Funmaker, the driver, was arrested for OWI, obstructing an officer and felony fleeing. 25-year-old Jordan Funmaker, the passenger, was arrested for obstructing an officer.
