Granton Village Board Hears About Sidewalk Restoration Project

-The Granton Village Board began their meeting on Wednesday by hearing about the sidewalk restoration project.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the original decision by the board was to replace the sidewalks on the West side of K from Maple Works to the bridge as these are the most traveled sidewalks. After having the winter to contemplate, the board has decided to work on the sidewalks that are in greater need of repair but still in high traffic areas. The board decided to replace the sidewalks on the West side of County Road K from 3rd to 4th Street. The village will remove the concrete and check on the costs of hiring someone to form and pour concrete.
They also heard about the ATV Travel and Ordinance. An application to open County K from Hill Street to US Highway 10 was submitted to Randy Anderson and the highway department. The request and application will be presented at the June 22 Highway board meeting.
