Greenwood School Board Approves Several Items

-The Greenwood School Board discussed several items at their meeting on Monday.The board received an update on the status of summer maintenance, repair, and replacement projects. They also approved the 2017-18 membership in the WIAA and provided the Middle/High Student Handbook for review. Possible action may be taken at the July meeting. The board also discussed the “communication from the public” guidelines on the agenda, but no action was taken. Again, possible action may be taken at the July meeting. The board also was provided the Volunteer and Chaperone Handbook for review with possible action taken at the July meeting.
The board also received an update on the current staff, was provided the Professional and Support Staff Handbooks for review with possible action at July’s meeting, they discussed possible changes in the Emergency Leave language, but no action was taken with possible action taken at the July meeting. The board was also provided the Mentoring and Coaching Handbook for review with possible action at the July meeting. Finally, the board received a report on the Supplemental Compensation program, which had 27 teachers participate with the average amount earned of $730 and they approved the 2017-18 salary of the District Administrator and 7-12 Principal.
