Wide Variety of Items Covered at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council approved several items at their meeting yesterday.The council approved an Economic Development Commission item. They approved providing $2,000 to The Highground provided that a link be created for the city on The Highground’s website. They also approved to paint the fuel storage tank at the airport at a cost not to exceed $3,500. And the council approved for law enforcement to provide EVOC training at the airport next week.
The council also approved to extend Schuster Park’s hours of operation until 1am for Heritage Days weekend, approved the high bid for the old Fire Department Van at $7,025. The other bids ranged from $1,079 to $1,500. The city also approved to accept the funds for recycling grants which came in at $9,324.71. This was up almost $500 compared to last year. The city wants to remind residents that the more you recycle, the more money they get back with this grant.
