Marshfield Catholic High School Begins Expansion Project

Thursday, June 1st, 2017 -- 10:10 AM

(WDLB) -Marshfield's catholic high school has embarked on its first expansion since its inception in 1952.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday for a new science lab addition at Columbus Catholic High School. President David Eaton said the new facilities would be named after major donors Ken and Joellen Heiman from Nasonville Dairy and Weber's Farm Store. Eaton says there are many other partners, including Marshfield CLinic, Lang Furniture, Prevention Genetics, Mauer Roofing, Draxler Transport, Wischerken Cheese, and Century 21 Gold Key Realty.

Boson Construction is the general contractor for the project, and will begin site preparation for the addition soon. The new addition will house state-of-the-art laboratories for chemistry, physics, biology, and other current science offerings, while allowing for the possibility of expanded offerings in the future. The project is scheduled to be completed for the start of the next school year this fall.
