Marshfield Student Named 2017 Fairest of the Fair

(WDLB) -Alysha Bauer of Marshfield is the "Fairest of the Fair" for the 2017 Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield.Bauer was named last night, during the reception and coronation at the Eagles Club on South Oak Avenue. And she was asked to use the word "fair" as an acronym to describe the annual six-day, end-of-summer event. Bauer will be a senior this fall at Marshfield High School. She is the current President of the Marshfield F-F-A, an ambassador for the Marshfield Area Girl Scouts, and she is a member of the McMillan Mavericks 4-H. Her career goal is to become an Ag teacher, F-F-A Advisor and 4-H leader. She is the 17th "Fairest of the Fair" since the program got its start in 2001.
Madison Vinter of Wisconsin Rapids was the runner-up. She is currently attending U-W River Falls. Also last night, Jenna Snortheim of Auburndale was named as the Junior Fairest of the Fair. Jenna will be a junior this fall at Auburndale High School, and is the current vice-president of the Auburndale F-F-A. MyKayla Gerretsen was the runner-up. She will be a senior this fall at Marshfield High School.
