Neillsville City Council Discusses Several Items

-The Neillsville City Council discussed several items at their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved several items including a parking enforcement officer, an appointment to the Beautification Committee, distribution of the Listeman and Listeman/Naedler funds and the use of the Gazebo on June 16th and 17th by the Neillsville Area Players. They also approved a license for the Neillsville American Legion to serve alcohol on their lawn during Heritage Days for the Mini Rod Race Event. The council also heard the Heritage Days Committee Reports from May 11th and May 18th. The Board of Review was held Tuesday morning and a Personnel Committee meeting was held before the Common Council meeting.
Finally, the council heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, cleaning and repairing sewer inlets, street sweeping, hauling brush and compost and more. The department also reminds you, again, not to blow your grass in the street when you mow, make sure lawns are being mowed and yards are kept clean, a new truck has arrived for the department and the city’s well 3 and booster pump 2 are in the process of rehabilitation.
