Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting
Monday, May 15th, 2017 -- 10:31 AM
-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting last week. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance and clean up, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, street sweeping except in areas where it’s still too soft, but the department will get to your area eventually. They’ve also maintained street lighting, filled pot holes, hauled brush and compost, but that isn’t a priority currently. They repaired storm inlets and more. The department also asks, again, that you do not blow your grass into the streets because it plugs up the gutters.
Notices have been sent to people to clean up their yards, mow their grass and pick up their trash cans. The paper work continues with the September flood damage and the department is still looking into a tire and paint clean up event. The department also heard a Heritage Days report from April 27th where several items were discussed including security, movie night, posters, the theme and more.
