Owen-Withee School Board Summary

The Owen-Withee School Board discussed the staff health insurance at their meeting last Monday.On a voice vote, the board approved paying 88% of staff premiums for health insurance plus an HRA contribution of $3000 family/$1500 single for the Narrow Network, $1300 family/$650 single for the HMO Network and $500 family/$250 single for the POS Network for the 2017-18 school year. This will result in a 0% increase to the district for health care next year.
Also, due to an increased number of students moving from kindergarten to 1st grade next year, administration has asked that the elementary staff be increased by one to accommodate three sections of first grade. On a voice vote the board approved this request. Finally, District Administrator Bob Houts reminded the board that graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2017 will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 10:00 AM. Board members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
