Owen-Withee School Board Approves Open Enrollment Applications

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved some open enrollment applications at their meeting on Monday.On a voice vote the board approved the five new open enrollments that were received during the recent open enrollment period. The district will now notify the applicants that they have been accepted and that they can enroll for the fall semester. On a voice vote, the board approved offering student accident insurance again for the 2018-19 school year. The cost of the insurance offered will not see an increase for next year. The insurance, purchased from Student Assurance Services, Inc., is insurance that covers students for all types of injuries received during school activities. The insurance is secondary to the student’s family insurance.
Also, on a voice vote, the board approved the list of co-curricular coaches/advisors that was presented. The list includes the staff that coached/advised this year, minus the ones who have resigned plus the ones that the board had already approved for next year. Letters of assignment will go out to staff in the next few days.
