(WDLB) -The Marshfield School Board discussed proposed athletic facility upgrades at their meeting this week. The board has floated a number of proposed athletic facility upgrades, most notably a new combination football and track stadium next to the high school to replace the aging and deteriorating facilities on the Middle School property. Also, the Board of Education passed a base wage increase for administrative and district-level staff. Marlene Stueland chairs the board's Employee Relations Committee, and she said the wage hikes represent a two-point-zero-seven percent increase. Mary Carney voted against the wage increase for administrators, while Frances Bohon abstained--making that vote 4-to-1, with Dorothy Chaney absent. The pay raise for the district-level staff passed on a unanimous vote.
And Marlene Stueland was re-elected Board President. Mark Konrardy--who just won another term on the Board in the April election--was chosen by his peers as Board Vice-President. Leifheit was elected treasurer, and Frances Bohon was chosen as the board clerk.
