Black River Falls Fire Department Responds to Garage Fire

-The Black River Falls Fire Department responded to a garage fire Saturday afternoon.Around 2:30pm on Saturday, a passerby called about a garage fire on Nichols Road, south of Black River Falls. When the department arrived, they found two garages fully engulfed in flames. The department is considering both garages a total loss and the nearby home also suffered some fire and heat damage.
The department said that no one was injured in the incident, but a family pet did die. It took 15 firefighters around 3.5 hours to extinguish the fire.
