Paws for Brittany Saturday, May 13th
Sunday, May 7th, 2017 -- 6:51 AM
-Paws For Brittany is a fun run and dog walk in memory of animal-lover Brittany Zimmermann. The walk/run starts and finishes in beautiful Wildwood Park in Marshfield. Marshfield native Brittany Zimmermann was attending UW-Madison when she was brutally attacked and murdered on April 2, 2008. The crime remains unsolved. This family-friendly event for all ages takes walkers around the upper pond, past buffalo, elk, wolves and other wildlife. Pets and strollers are welcome. (Feel free to come and walk even if you don't have a dog!) Money raised from this event helps care for homeless animals found in the community Brittany grew up in and will help many animals that she adored.
Registration starts at 8am and the start time is 9am. The registration fee is $25 for ages 13 and up. Children 12 and under are free with a paid registration. Extra adult and child-sized t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event. All paid participants will receive a Paws For Brittany t-shirt.
