NEW INFO: Lock-Down Situation in City of Neillsville

-Around 10:45am Thursday, the Neillsville Police Department received information about a possible active shooter situation.Memorial Medical Center, the Neillsville School District and St. John’s Lutheran School were all placed on lock-down as a precaution. Law enforcement officers from the Neillsville Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Loyal Police Department worked quickly to gather information on the potential threat. Around 12:45, the threat was called unsubstantiated and the lock-downs were lifted.
There were no arrests made and no criminal charges filed. There is no danger to citizens of Neillsville or the surrounding area and no further information will be released. Neillsville’s Police Chief would like to thank all those that assisted with the case.
