-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting last week. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance and clean-up, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, maintain street lighting, hauling/picking up brush and compost and more. Also, the department is street sweeping; however, there are still areas they can’t get to because they’re too soft.
Public Works Director Dave Flynn also asked residents not to sweep their lawn clippings into the gutter. Dave also mentioned that he has an ad in the paper for summer help, the department had a recycling event recently and had a good turnout and spring clean-up was last week. Finally, Dave mentioned that if residents of Neillsville are interested in paint or tire recycling event to let him know and he’ll try to get them put together.
