Wisconsin Unemployment Numbers for March

-The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development today released the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates of unemployment and employment statistics for metro areas, major cities, and counties in Wisconsin.The release of the March 2017 local rates follows last week's release of BLS monthly estimates showing a preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 3.4 percent in March 2017, dropping to its lowest rate since April 2000. Clark County had a rate of 4% for March compared to February’s 4.9% and March of 2016’s 5.1%. The puts Clark County at 30 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties for March compared to February’s 32.
For our neighboring counties, Chippewa is at 4.5%, Eau Claire is at 3.1, Jackson is at 4.3%, 4.5% for Wood, 3.3% for Marathon and 4.9% for Taylor.
