Neillsville City Council Approves Asphalt Bid

-The Neillsville City Council approved a few items during their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved an asphalt bid from American Asphalt in Mosinee. The bid was for 12,000 tons at $72.25 per ton. This was approved first during the Public Works portion of the meeting and then again during the regular Common Council Meeting. They also approved to use the funds collected from the 30% Room Tax to build a new bathroom in the upper part of Schuster Park. The amount of those funds comes to $7,406.18. The bathroom itself will cost from $40,000-$50,000 and they’ve put in a request with the Listeman Foundation to provide the rest of the funds.
Finally, the council accepted the loan funds from Citizens State Bank to be used for the purchase of new equipment for the Public Works Department and they approved the appointment of Brian Barth to the Airport Commission.
