Clark County Board April 2017 Meeting Report

The Clark County Board of Supervisors began their meeting on Thursday with a couple appointments.The board appointed Rick Opelt to the City of Neillsville TIF District and Sharon Rogers to the City of Greenwood TIF District. They then heard a presentation from Duffy Gaier about the Neillsville Airport and heard the 2016 Annual Veterans Report. For resolutions, the board approved a resolution rescinding a previous resolution that dealt with an easement of some land access by Mead. The next two resolutions they approved then corrected that problem including withdrawing some land from county forest crop law.
The board also approved a resolution for the purchase of more county land in the Town of Dewhurst. The cost came to $15,462 for 15 acres, plus property taxes. It was also noted that the land has at least $7,000 worth of timber. The funds for the purchase of this land are available. The board also approved a resolution having their insurance company provide legal loss prevention services coverage, another deeding some property to the City of Neillsville and a final resolution making some changes to the Employee Handbook.
