Owen City Council Approves Easements

-The Owen City Council heard about a few easements at their meeting last week.Three easements were presented, and approved, for the Lift Station #1 project including the conversion of storm easement and water easement into utility easement over parcels owned by Town & Country, conversion of Town & Country confinement of Easement and a grant easement to WE Energies over City property to Lift Station #1. The council also heard the Overtime Report and was notified that the Clark County Economic Development Corporation’s Annual Meeting is on April 24th.
The council also heard the Personnel Committee Report. A 3 month review was completed for Officer Dulcie Lilly with a wage change from $20.25 to $20.75, which was approved. The committee also discussed possibly amending the residency requirement. Other municipalities were discussed who have dissolved the requirement altogether. The issue was tabled until the next meeting. Finally, the council heard the Parks and Rec. Committee Report. They requested to increase their $3,000 budget for concession stand improvements up to $10,000, which the council approved.
