Memorial Medical Center's CEO Answers FAQs, Part 3

Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 -- 10:06 AM

-Why do we need a new hospital when population is declining? I don’t want my taxes going up because of a new hospital? I thought you were broke? …are just a few common voice mails that Memorial Medical Center’s CEO, Ryan Neville, receives on a regular basis.

Since becoming the CEO in 2014, Ryan and the Board of Directors launched a 5 year strategic plan to provide high quality healthcare locally and MMC will best reach this goal with a new facility. Another question Ryan is frequently asked is how are we able to build? Financials continue to improve, gross has increased 26% since 2013 and MMC averages 100 new patients per month for a variety of services. As a result, MMC has qualified for a USDA hospital replacement loan available for rural service areas, similar to the program the 1954 MMC administration took advantage of.

Their strategy as an independent organization is to deliver modern medicine you need locally by enhancing their current services and expanding their scope of services through partnerships.
