New Grill for Granton
Monday, April 17th, 2017 -- 9:52 AM
-The Granton Village Board discussed a grill in the park at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, photos of a large covered grill were presented. It has an 8x16 structure that covers a 30” x 60” grill. The hope is the village will approve the project as volunteers have been arranged to build the structure, pour the concrete and has secured most of the estimated cost of $2000. If approved, the grill would be built on the east end of the current pavilion. The board appreciated the project idea and approved the location of the grill provided it meets building codes.
A list of summer projects was presented to the board. The clerk advised that road projects need to be top priority to ensure the village continues to get transportation aid. Graveling Romadka Road will be completed next year as a combined project with Grant. There are several roads the village will be looking at repairing this year.
