District Administrator Bob Houts discussed with the board the issue with the loan that was taken out for the Act 32 Energy Efficiency projects. The loan, taken out for ten years, only has nine payments. This means that the district has $226,650 to spend on district initiatives, put into the fund balance or pre-pay the loan. On a voice vote, the Board voted to approve the use of these funds for maintenance projects that have been deferred over the past few years.
