Owen-Withee School Board Approves Door Project

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved a door project at their meeting on Monday.The board reviewed the Door Project that was first discussed at the February meeting. A second bid to replace the gym lobby doors and 8 other exterior doors was received too late for board action at the March meeting. On a voice vote the board approved awarding the project to LaForce. The total for the project is $141,000.
Also, at the March meeting the board discussed the project to glaze the old tile in the high school hallway. A bid of just under $38,000 had been received from Perma-Glaze of Western Wisconsin to do the project. The Board had tabled the project until warranty information and some references could be checked. District Administrator Bob Houts notified the board that Perma-Glaze will warranty the material for three years. References provided by Perma-Glaze were checked with positive comments heard. On a voice vote the board approved proceeding with the project.
