Reconstruction of Highway 98 in Loyal Begins

-The reconstruction project on Highway 98 in the City of Loyal has officially begun and motorists can expect to encounter a signed detour.The Wisconsin Department of Transportation began working on the project on Monday. The improvement project includes the reconstruction of WIS 98 from Helm Street to Elm Drive. New water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer will be installed within the project limits. WIS 98 will be closed to through traffic during construction.
Haas Sons, Inc. is the prime contractor for the $5.1 million project. The project is funded with a mix of federal, state and local dollars. A signed detour route will utilize Clark County Highway Y, H and K. Local access will be maintained to businesses and residents. Construction is scheduled for completion late fall 2017.
