Contract Amendment at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council approved a contract amendment at their meeting last week.MSA Professional Services presented a contract amendment for the additional work on the easement issues for the Lift Station #1 project. They also presented two utility easement agreements. One for the City of Owen from Town and Country and one for Town and Country to Wisconsin Electric Power Company and Wisconsin Gas. Both were approved. MSA Professional Services also presented a memo that the city consider a raise in sewer rates in order to meet the debt coverage of the Clean Water Fund Loan of $563,152. The city clerk reported that any sewer rate increase would have to go through the Sewer Commission.
Finally, MSA Professional Services presented a Fair Housing Proclamation which is requirement of the grant funding for Lift Station #1 and this was approved. The council also approved a resolution for TIF #4 borrowing of $680,000 for the 2nd half of the incentive to the Heartland Development Project. The council also heard about a couple topics during the public opinion portion of the meeting.
