Court Case Against Former Marshfield Police Chief Will Stay in Wood County
Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 -- 2:00 PM
The court case against Marshfield’s former police chief will not be moved to a new county.
Marshfield’s former police chief, Rick Gramza appeared in Wood County Court on Tuesday. He was requesting to have his case moved out of Wood County.
Gramaz is facing sexual assault charges after he was accused of assaulting a fellow officer. Gramaz admitted to having sexual contact with the woman, but he claimed it was consensual.
The judge denied Gramza’s request stating that since he was a public figure, moving his case to another county wouldn’t help. A future court date hasn’t been set at this time.
