The CWIRA had to cancel the Wisconsin State Ice Championship in Dexterville schedule for this past Sunday.The WIRCS held one of their two races this weekend before the weather warmed up too much. Saturday’s race took place on Lake Menomonie, although ice conditions were poor racer and spectator turnout was great. Sunday’s make up race on Otter Lake in Stanley was canceled over poor ice conditions due to such warm weather.
This Saturday the WIRCS is hoping to continue the season on Lake Como in Bloomer. The CWIRA has their last race of the season scheduled for this Sunday on Lake Wisconsin. Both races are pending safe ice conditions which are questionable with the recent warm weather.
