Black River Falls Man Sentenced for 6th OWI

-A Black River Falls man arrested for his 6th OWI back in March of last year was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Robert Wilkinson was pulled over for speeding on I-94. Wilkinson failed the field sobriety tests and it was discovered that he was using a revoked license.

During his court appearance on Monday, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, his 6th OWI. A charge of operating while revoked was dismissed and read in and a charge of 6th operating with a restricted/controlled substance was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 3 years extended supervision. He also had his license revoked for 2 years and must have an ignition interlock device for 2 years.
