Owen-Withee School Board Discusses Next School Year's Calendar

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed the next school year’s calendar at their meeting last week.The board tabled approval of the 2017-18 calendar until staff members could have some input at a meeting in late January. At Wednesday’s meeting the board approved a 2017-18 calendar that includes 175 days of instruction, adding 10 minutes to each day, a 4 day, all day summer school program from August 28-31 and a school start date of September 1 and a graduation date of Saturday, May 19, 2018. The calendar is on the district’s web site at in the Important Documents section.
Also, the three board members who were present for the Buildings and Grounds Committee meeting on Monday, February 13th spoke about the conversation had regarding the proposals for the additional Act 32 Energy Efficiency projects that have been proposed. The committee also looked at various projects centered around the gym lobby area.
